Understand your rights and our obligations regarding purchases made on VelocityMU.
1. Overview
This Refund Policy governs all transactions made through the VelocityMU website ("the Website"), including donations, virtual currency purchases, and in-game service purchases. By completing any purchase you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy. Important: all purchases involve virtual goods and services for a free-to-play private server. By making a purchase you understand that you are supporting the server's operating costs, not acquiring tangible goods subject to standard consumer refund laws in most jurisdictions. VelocityMU reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
2. Definitions
Account — your login credentials and associated data. WCoins — the virtual currency used for website purchases, the Player Market, shop items, and other on-site services. Donation / Donate Package — a real-money contribution in exchange for a defined quantity of WCoins or in-game benefits. Virtual Item — any in-game weapon, armor, jewel, wing, set, or other equipment received in exchange for WCoins. Service — any on-site function such as character reset, class change, name change, VIP subscription, or PK clear performed in exchange for WCoins.
3. Donations & Packages
All donation packages represent voluntary financial support for the VelocityMU server. In return, WCoins are credited to your account wallet. All donations are final and non-refundable unless VelocityMU explicitly approves a refund in writing under the special case exceptions in Section 9. Donation packages are processed immediately upon successful payment confirmation. WCoins credited from a donation cannot be converted back to real currency. Unused WCoins do not expire but are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to other accounts. Duplicate or accidental payments must be reported within 48 hours via Section 10.
4. WCoins
WCoins are a virtual currency with no real-world monetary value, existing solely within the VelocityMU ecosystem. WCoins obtained via donation, vote rewards, market sales, or any other source cannot be refunded or exchanged back to real money. WCoins spent on shop items, the Player Market, or any other service are consumed and not reversible, except where an error on our part is confirmed (see Section 6). Market escrow releases (e.g. returning a listing to your vault on cancel) are the standard process, not refunds.
5. Virtual Items & Services
Once a virtual item has been delivered to your character or a service has been executed, the transaction is complete and no refund will be issued. Donation packages (WCoin grant), web shop items, VIP subscriptions, and character services (reset, class change, etc.) are final upon delivery/activation. Faulty or undelivered items are handled case-by-case and must be reported within 24 hours (Section 6). Duplicate payments are refundable if reported within 48 hours with proof.
6. Faulty or Undelivered Items
If a purchased item was delivered incorrectly (wrong item, wrong stats, or wrong character) or not delivered at all due to a confirmed technical error on our part, you may be eligible for a WCoin credit or item replacement. You must report faulty or undelivered items within 24 hours of the purchase timestamp. Include your account username, the character name, the item/service and its WCoin cost, a description of the issue, and the approximate date and time. If the error is confirmed against server logs, we will re-deliver the correct item or restore the spent WCoins. Cash refunds will not be issued even in confirmed error cases.
7. Bonuses & Gifted Items
Items, WCoins, or benefits received through vote rewards, event prizes/giveaways, promotional bonuses, admin grants/compensations, referral rewards, or gift/redeem codes are not refundable under any circumstances. Bonus WCoins or items attached to a donation package are non-refundable in all cases; if a donation refund is exceptionally granted, only the base package value is considered and bonus credits are deducted first.
8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting VelocityMU support is a violation of this policy and our Terms of Service. Any account associated with a chargeback will be immediately suspended pending investigation, and all WCoin balances, items, and progress may be forfeited. If you have a legitimate concern, contact us first — we will make every reasonable effort to resolve it without a formal dispute. Chargebacks initiated in bad faith may result in a permanent ban. If a chargeback is later reversed or withdrawn, the suspension is reviewed case-by-case; reversal is not guaranteed.
9. Special Case Exceptions
VelocityMU may, at its sole discretion, approve a refund or WCoin credit in exceptional circumstances, evaluated individually and not a guaranteed right. These may include a confirmed technical failure on our end resulting in loss of paid content; a duplicate charge caused by a payment processor error; a purchase made in error by a minor without parental consent, supported by documentation; or server closure or extended downtime rendering purchased content inaccessible for a prolonged period. To request a review, contact support with full details and supporting evidence. We aim to respond within 3–5 business days. Approval does not set a precedent for future claims.
10. Contact Us
All communication — including refund inquiries, billing disputes, and item delivery issues — is handled through our Discord server. Open a ticket in the appropriate support channel and include your account username, the character name involved, the item/service and its WCoin cost, a clear description of the issue, and the approximate date and time of the transaction.
