Jewels are upgrade materials and also commonly traded. Keep the ones needed for your next planned combination instead of treating every jewel as interchangeable currency.
Recognize common materials

These roles do not establish a success rate. The specific item, recipe and Velocity settings determine the applicable process.
Prepare a combination
- Identify the exact result you want, including class and tier.
- Open the appropriate NPC or crafting menu and select that recipe.
- Match every material by name, quantity, enhancement and option requirements.
- Check the result preview, required Zen, displayed chance and failure consequence.
- Confirm only after verifying that no equipped or valuable spare item was inserted accidentally.
Understand failure before spending
Recipes can have different failure behavior. Materials may be consumed, levels may change or an item may be lost. A protective item applies only to the combinations named in its description. Do not assume that a talisman protects every ingredient or works in every system.
Bundles and counting
A jewel bundle and a loose jewel may not be accepted in the same recipe. Check the requested form and count. Keep a small written shopping list for an expensive combination so you do not repeatedly buy the wrong material.
Spend toward a complete result
Budget for the full path, including materials and Zen after the first step. If the result cannot yet be equipped, consider whether the money would improve your current hunting setup more effectively.
